Recent Belly Casts

Over these past several months, I created a few wonderful casts for some very deserving new moms.

At each casting session, the mother gives me her ideas for her belly-cast and allows me the creative freedom to turn that vision into a reality. This collaborative effort ensures that each mom receives a unique and beautiful cast that she will enjoy for a lifetime.

Face Painting

A few weeks ago, I painted faces and hands at a friend's house for her daughter's 3rd birthday. I so enjoyed the experience, that I signed up to face paint at two Fall festivals: Pharr Elementary and Snellville United Methodist. I will post those pictures as soon as the events are over.

Atlanta Baby & Child Expo 2011

Last month, I had the pleasure of being a part of the "Atlanta Baby & Child Expo 2011" at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. My wonderful friend Denise helped me out by walking around wearing a bellycast to draw attention to my new service. She was wonderful at bringing expectant mothers to my table to learn about bellycasting and murals for children. Thanks Denise!

I was also able to bring a portable mural as a backdrop for my table. I had a wonderful afternoon meeting new moms in the Atlanta area. I look forward to working with them as their pregnancies progress.

Children's Names & Powder Room

This client requested her children's names be painted on their accent walls in their bedrooms. By working with her current wall colors and their bedding as inspiration, we came up with several painted elements to enhance these spaces.









She also asked for leaves to be painted in her main-floor powder room that would reflect the current design theme. We choose large palm fronds painted in a shade darker than her current wall color, glazed with soft bronze, metallic painted for added dimension.

Murals Painted in May

Here are a few murals I painted in May. The first is a "Yoga-Dancer Tree", painted at "Studio Dance and Fitness", located in Lawrenceville, GA.

This mural of cradles hanging from a tree is painted in the waiting room of "Gifts from Grace", a midwive's office located in John's Creek, Ga.

LHH Time Out Room - Tropical Waterfall

The girls of this unit at Laurel Heights, requested that their Time-Out unit be painted in a tropical paradise theme; complete with a waterfall, rainbow, and lots of tropical plants.

To complete this look, I painted a beach scene in the hallway. Palm trees, a beach umbrella, a colorful parrot, and sand castle round out this scene.

"Chill Out Room" at LHH

The old, "Time Out" Room on this girl's unit at LHH was painted in a cherry, pastoral scene to help the girls calm down in a soothing environment. This soothing room is now called the, "Chill Out Room", and is outfitted with a soft, shag rug and bean bag chair. It is reported that the girls on this unit now jump at the chance to go into this room to calm themselves down, all on their own.
